Shanghai bollywood movie release date and  star cast

Shanghai is the Dibakar Banerjee’s upcoming movie releasing on 26 January 2012. In his first film Khosla Ka Ghosla Dibakar took on Delhi’s land mafia  and went on to direct Oye Lucky Lucky Oye (about a famous thief in Delhi) and then Love, Sex Aur Dhoka .

Shanghai is a political thriller film which Dibakar says “most violent film”. According to Dibakar

“Like ‘Love, Sex Aur Dhoka’ was my most provocative film, ‘Shanghai’ will probably be the most violent film that I’ve done. By violent I do not mean short circuit, people being killed, or decomposed bodies. With violence, I mean emotional violence,”.

 The movie is the official Hindi adaptation of a political thriller by Greek novelist ‘Vassilis Vassilikos’, who wrote about the real-life assassination of a dynamic politician.
